Have you ever stared at a door and wondered where it leads to? Those doors at the end of dimly lit alleyways, the ones that are always inexplicably locked. Have you ever wondered if a door that is familiar could suddenly lead to somewhere unexpected? To the unfamiliar? Imagine for a moment, that every time you closed and reponed the door of your bedroom, it opened to a different place. As long as you leave it open, you can walk right back to where you seemingly belong. What if you could use this to walk right out of your life and into someone else’s. Take that proverbial step into another mans shoes. Could you use it to visit other worlds, or other realms? Could it be used to bridge the gab between reality and fiction? Is it purely random, or guided by our desires, aspirations, dreams, and memories? What if you could control it? Where would you go? That is the issue with doors. Every time we step through one we are making a choice, one that will take us somewhere new, or back to the mundane of the routine. And if you choose to continue through, there is no telling where you may end up. Doors are interesting that way.
I hope I dream of that tonight. The not-so simple nature of a door.

I read this so many different ways, in light of our recent conversation. And then I realized that my different interpretations are doors in themselves, of paths of thoughts I choose. Good work.
